Growing up in Lancashire in the 1950's,Rosalie was a dreamer and late developer, often becoming locked in her own dream world of far-away places. As you can imagine, this exasperated family and teachers alike and she confounded them by gaining a scholarship to Grammar School!
Following the traditional route of marriage and full-time mother-hood (as was normal in those days), Rosalie settled in North Wales with her husband and growing family, where she lives today.
In the midst of 'pots and pans' Rosalie often dreamed of writing a story as various ideas popped up in her head. For a long time these remained locked away inside her dream world. Rosalie's writing evolved through various development activities and academic studies as she pursued her careers in sales management and latterly further and adult education in Work Based Learning.
Rosalie's abiding ethos is that everyone should be able to develop and achieve their potential as a 'whole' person and this was the focus of her BA(Hons) Degree which she achieved in later life from The Manchester Metropolitan University. Rosalie has also written and collaborated on various learning and marketing projects in her work.
During their first Gold Wing experience,Rosalie found that the words flowed when recording her profound emotional experiences and realised that she had the beginnings of a story. Eventually, she concluded that their ten years of discovery, travelling over 50,000 miles on their own in Europe, which she had written about informally, formed an inspiring story of adventure and a realisation of dreams.
With the ever-supportive 'Ned', she has been able to share their story.
